The old vinyl was thin and
separated from the backing.
There are several ways to get the old staples off.
A screw driver and pliers will work but a staple
puller makes it much easier.
If the foam is more than 10 years old now is a good time to replace it. Foam can be purchased at JoAnns but your local upholstery
shop will have a higher quality.
Also this set of seats had no dacron. This is not a necessity but generally makes the job look and feel better. A good quality dacron
can also be purchased at your local upholstery shop.

the front or back you will end up with too much
fabric in the corners.

pleat. This is one reason why it failed.
My vinyl is much thicker and a
higher quality. I added a nice tight
pleat to the corner.
They used decorative brass tacks for trim. This
is a popular embellishment but the customer
asked if we could leave them off.
So instead I added this cording for a nice

The finishing touch is a dust cover.
