Furniture is Ladd and Rose's passion and they have a long history of restoring fine antiques. In 1988 Ladd Upholstery Designs opened
in Charleston, SC. For 10 years their business thrived upholstering antiques for the mansions along Battery Row and The Old Village in Mt.
Pleasant. In 1999 Ladd and Rose moved Ladd Upholstery Designs to Gainesville Fl and started a working relationship with John Davis at
Warringtons Refinishing. This Victorian settee was restored from top to bottom in conjunction with the folks at Warringtons Refinishing.

| Ladd is one of the few upholsterers in North Central Florida who knows the correct method of 8-way hand tying. The webbing is tight and the springs are also. |
| The fish motif was a popular embelishment on Victorian pieces. |
| All new webbing, burlap and padding on the inside back. |
| The old padding was a mixture of straw, spanish moss and horse hair. It was old, lumpy and needed to be replaced. |
| The finished product is something the owner will enjoy for many years. Antiques are unique. |
